The AFL Grand Final is a huge part of the Australian sporting calendar, one of those events that unites the whole country in heading to the pub or sitting in fornt of the TV to watch together – in a country that loves it’s sports this is one that pretty much everyone will typically have an opinion on.
AFL, the Australian Football League, or footy as the locals prefer, is unique to the country, and runs along similar lines to Gaelic football in Ireland.
The venue is back to the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the enormous MCG arena being able to accommodate a crowd of around 100,000 spectators, while millions more will be watching live on TV or via online stream – see below for how you can watch from the comfort of your own home.
The Grand Final this year takes place on Saturday 24th September.
